This page is entirely devoted to images that I have taken. At the beginning of this course, we learned a lot about digital cameras, and also scanning. We learned how to take good photographs with digital cameras using some helpful little tips: aviod distracting backgrounds, framing, rule of thirds, changing your vantage points, locking the focus, and moving in close. These six tips will help you to get interesting photos, and ensure that the observer can tell the subject of the photo. Another important thing to remember is how to correctly save an image. You should save an image using a name that you understand and recognize. Also, use all loser case and no symbols other than _. |

This is a picture of my cousin, Curt, my nephew, Aidan, and I. It was taken at my cousin's going away party. This particular photograph uses two concepts: moving in close, and changing your vantage point. The three of us were on the floor, while the photographer, Erika, was standing. Pagtalunan, Erika J. This picture is one of my favorites. This picture includes two of my best friends, my cousin, and my nephew. From left to right, its me, Justin, Aidan, Curt, and Erika. This was a picture has been cropped, which helps to focus on the subjects that you want to capture. |

This is a picture of my sister and my two nephews. My nephew, Aidan, is kissing his mommy's belly, and my nephew, Andrew, is still inside. It is a picture that will be cherished forever. This is a very good example of moving in close. This image was also optimized in Fireworks to make it black and white. To do this I went to Commands, Creative, and selected Convert to Grayscale. |

| This image is one of me and my best friend Erika, taken this summer. This picture includes our two puppies. They were so little! I scanned this image so that it would be accesible to me on the computer. When scanning, you can do many things, including changing the tone and cropping. Corlew, Pam. Girsl and Pups. 2006. |

This is an image that I obtained from the Internet. To use a picture of the Internet, it must have no copyright on it. A good way to find images without a copyright is when you go to a search engine, put in the words "public domain" in front of the image you are searching for. This is a picture of a beagle. I obtained this picture because I have a beagle puppy. I think that my puppy is much cuter than this dog, though! I also was interested in this image because it is a drawing, and I am very interested in art. Aard-wolf. Aard-wolf. 1997. This is an example of something that I created in Fireworks. I like this example because it shows some of the different things we can do to graphics in Fireworks. We can change the tone, crop, and do all other sorts of things. Fireworks is a very helpful tool to have when optimizing photos and graphics.
